Yushu, Tibetan China
After 8 days of cycling from Golmud, 700km and nine over 4500m high passes I reached Yushu at 3700m. It was the first major Tibetan city I’ve seen in my life and the first time I sang karaoke with Tibetans. I ended up singing Madonna’s Frozen, even though the city was warmer than any place I had been for a month.
