South Kazakhstan
Cycling in Kazakhstan was really hard due to incredibly strong head wind, which eventually lasted two weeks. Days on the bike were long as my average speed rarely exceeded 15km per hour and I was determined to do 120km a day, every day. Though I was lucky with the temperatures. The KyzylKhum desert was a lot cooler than I expected. I had only a few days temperatures over 40 celsius and normally I enjoyed cooler temperatures only up to 35 celsius.
