Beyneu, Kazakhstan
The charming little town of Beyneu (hear a tone of sarcasm) is the last inhabited place before the deserts of Uzbekistan. The 90km road to the border from the town was in so bad condition that I overtook the lorries in the picture. Generally all the lorry drivers were excited to see me and honked their horns and waved from the windrow to me. Lorry drivers also introduced me fermented camelmilk and horsemeat.
