Anson is one of the most interesting bike tourers I have met. He started his trip a year ago from South Africa and he is heading back home to Hongkong. Just a few days before me and Ann met him in #Samarkand, he entered #Uzbekistan from Afghanistan. He told us that to stay alive he played dumb, wore local tribal clothes and turbine, covered his panniers with potato sacks to look like a poor local, slept on Police stations only and made sure to get out of the roads every day in the late afternoon before Taliban usually takes control of the roads. We were happy to see him alive.
